SHORT-TERM STUDIES / EXCHANGE STUDENTS
International visiting students are most welcome to Polytech Angers!
Our International Office, as well as our professors and of course your fellow students are all here to support you during your mobility period. We hope that your stay in France will be successful and will contribute to your personal and professional goals.
English taught exchange programmes
- Spring
French-taught courses are open to students with a B2 level of French. Look for 'Formations' on the French home page.
How to apply
- Step 1 Nomination: You must be nominated by your home university. You should ask your International Mobility Coordinator to send your nomination, stating the required period of study at Polytech and the chosen exchange programme.
- Step 2 Application: You must complete the following:
- Your online application form, sent to you by echange.international @ univ-angers.fr (Be aware that you need to tick the box to request student housing when filling it out)
- Your learning agreement (Get in touch with the international office at your home university. They will tell you how to do it.)
- Step 3 Acceptance : You'll receive your invitation letter
- Apply for a visa if you need one
- Prepare your final registration
- Step 4 Welcome to Angers, France!
- Prepare your arrival with Welcome to UA

Important information
Dates - Fall & Spring semesters :
Fall 2026 / Nominations (March 1st - April 30th) / Application (March 15th - May 15th)
> Bachelor's: September 1st - December 18th
> Master 1: September 1st - January 8th
> Master 2: September 1st - February 27th
> Fall break: October 24th-November 1st
Spring 2027
> Bachelor's: January 4th - May/June (depending on the courses & projects)
> Master's: January 11th - May/June (depending on the courses & projects)
> Winter break: February 27th-March 7th
> Spring break: April 24th-May 2nd
ECTS - All academic results are fully recognized by both institutions (home and host universities). An agreed number of credits is established before arrival (Learning Agreement), and on completion, the results are sent to the student's home university via a system of credit transfer. A semester in Erasmus countries is worth 30 ECTS, for other countries, please refer to your home university.
Duration - The exchange period can be 1 or 2 semesters.
Tuition fees - As an exchange student under a specific agreement, you only pay tuition fees at your home university.
Regulations - Exchange students are required to respect the same rules as all Polytech Angers students. They must attend all their courses and complete all exams they are enrolled in to earn the ECTS associated with the course.
